Grey Seer Morrskeet is not shy about his legend: peerless arcane power, a miraculous rescue by the Horned Rat himself, and much else that may be more than a little exaggerated. Despite his limited abilities, he is thrust into a contest set by Vizzik Skour, the dreaded Prophet of the Horned Rat, who is searching for a champion worthy of being his herald. The winner must be the first to capture the vast Sigmarite fortress of Thunder Crag and raise their screaming bell atop its pinnacle.
Morrskeet and his minions must outwit the schemes of his sorcerous rivals and the hidden blades of Eshin assassins, and face an even more terrifying possibility: that he might actually be the chosen herald of the Horned Rat after all.
